- It's done! Now xemvt340.library sports "TurboHyperSupra Snap!" No more
- boring xemvt340.library support.. now through the power of tremendous lack
- of sleep and potential divorce, I've managed to create a version of vt340
- that supports clipping to the clipboard.device.
-
- *** Features:
-
- 1> Different Units
-
- You may clip text to any one of the 256 different clipboard units
- through the 'Clipboard unit' option in the settings, or the 'ClipUnit '0''
- setting in the ENV:xemvt340 file.
-
- 2> Linear Snapping
-
- You may choose to snap your text in a linear fashion, as demonstrated
- below:
- ______________________________________________________
- _____________| |
- | |
- | _________________________|
- |__________________________________________|
-
- 3> Columnar Snapping
-
- You may choose to snap your text in a more columnar fashion, as
- demonstrated below:
- __________________________________________
- | |
- | |
- | |
- |__________________________________________|
-
- 4> Word Snapping
-
- You may choose to snap your text by the word, which is similar to
- to the linear fashion in that if you go down a line, the text is not
- snapped according to the column, but according to chunks of words.
-
- *** How does it work:
-
- 1> Start an edge in the window:
-
- A>+ Put the mouse pointer on the first character you'd like to snap.
- |
- +- Press `F8' if you want to snap in linear-mode
- +- Press `ALT + F8' if you want to snap in columnar-mode
-
- B>+ Put the mouse pointer on the last character you'd like to snap.
- |
- +- Press `F8' if you want to snap in linear-mode
- +- Press `ALT + F8' if you want to snap in columnar-mode
-
- Note: The edges are saved, so you can use it the next time you snap.
- BUT: They can be switched each time you press F8. Although
- this isn't according to the styleguide, it is the easiest way
- of clipping for me to program (and for you to use). Just try it..
-
-
- 2> Copy text to clipboard:
-
- A> Press `F9' to copy the marked text into the clipboard.
- B> Press `Shift + F9' to copy the marked text into the clipboard _and_
- into the input-stream. (XEROX mode :)
-
- 3> Paste from clipboard:
-
- Press `F10' to feed the clipboard contents into the input-stream.
-
- NOTE: To snap a single word:
-
- A> Put the mouse pointer on the word you want to snap.
- B> Press `SHIFT + F8'. (The word should be marked now)
- C> Copy to clipboard.
- D> Paste as often as you'd like.
